The Metal Form sculpture was inspired by a collection of pieces lying around the shop and an attempt to become more familiar with welding techniques.
Scraps were salvaged from the scrap pile and combined to make a free form sculpture that expands from a central base
Supports were added to help keep the high center of mass upright
The sculpture was sand-blasted to remove surface grime and to get ready for paint
The final product was painted glossy black and displayed in a hallway gallery
